Role Summary
・Seeking a Thai finance & accounting professional to play a core role in the finance and accounting function of the Thai entity and its group.
・Position level will be determined as Finance & Accounting Manager, Assistant GM, or Deputy GM based on experience and capabilities.
・Collaborates with existing Japanese and Thai management across operational and management aspects to drive organizational management and operational enhancement.
・Opportunities exist for responsibilities to expand from finance & accounting to broader corporate/administration areas, depending on performance and aptitude.

Main Responsibilities
・Management and overall coordination of finance & accounting operations.
・Review of monthly/annual closings and various reports, alongside proposing process improvements.
・Execution of key responses related to external audits, tax matters, and internal controls.
・Support for cash management planning, budget control, and management accounting (daily cash management and funding are handled by the Finance Manager).
・Coordination and communication with Japan Head Office, Regional Headquarters, and group companies in Thailand.
・Development and coaching of team members, while driving overall process improvement.

Reports to:　CFO & Finance & Accounting GM (Japanese expat) President of Thai company

Must
• Age: Around 40 ~ 45 years old
• Bachelor’s degree or higher (major in Accounting, Finance, Business or Economics preferred)
• More than 10 years’ practical experience in accounting and/or finance
• Hands-on experience in monthly and annual closing under Thai GAAP
• Work experience in an audit firm (e.g. Big4) or in a major Japanese / multinational company
• Experience of taking a certain level of responsibility for financial statements and external audit
• Experience in reporting to a parent company or overseas head office (emails and basic reports in English)
• Experience in external communication with management, auditors, banks and/or tax authorities
• Experience as a leader or manager of a small team
• English: business level
• Able to communicate smoothly by email and in meetings with Japanese expats, Regional Headquarters and Japan Head Office
• Strong communication and coordination skills with Japanese expats, Thai staff and Head Office / Regional Headquarters
• High sense of compliance and sensitivity to internal control

Preferred
• Basic knowledge and practical experience related to IFRS (e.g. HQ reporting package)
• Experience in transfer pricing or international tax projects (including work together with external advisors)
• Experience in internal control (e.g. J-SOX) or internal audit
• Experience using SAP S/4HANA and in process improvement / digitalization
• Understanding of Japanese corporate culture and trading business
